Fixed several bugs relating to dialogue
Added text to showcase where the DLC levels are located.
Fixed some visual overlapping bugs.
Fixed a bug in the tutorial where the wrong button icon would display
Fixed a bug in the tutorial where enemies hit by Engine Burst would not display the destroy particle effect.
Fixed a bug in Survival/Gauntlet and Levels 10,15,22,24 where skins would not work.
Fixed a bug where skins would sometimes display a visual bug with Triple Barrage enabled.

No audio or input.

When launching the game, there is no audio, and only interactivity via mouse and keyboard in menus. And no controller input at all. I also can't seem to successfully change display resolutions or change the volume settings in the settings menu. Changing res just places a checkmark next to more than one res option, and clicking on the volume sliders does nothing. I can attempt to start either mode, and a level loads, but there is no audio or input. Enemies spawn and attack but no player input responds and ...

This is a mini-patch to address some issues we found.

Fixed a bug where during a save-load error, Gauntlet Skins were unselectable and would cause your game to always default to the Red-Default skin.

Fixed a bug where the Dialogue Box in level 10 would bounce.

A hotfix has been deployed at 2:00PM EST 4/26

Fixed a bug where Poison would not effect players.
FIxed a bug where building damage reduction in combination with Neon Barrier would amplify the damage dealt for enemies travelling through the wall but would diminish the value of damage dealt by bullets back to the attacker.
Fixed a bug where in Rogue Mode, Neon Barrier would incorrectly scale with shield power.
Fixed a bug where Tanks would have insane accuracy on Level 19: Protocol Arena
Fixed a bug where projectile prism would calculate damage from missiles incorrectly. This should benefit the player by taking 1 less damage than the previous value.
Fixed a bug where R.A.M mod in Rogue Mode would decrease health at a faster value than intended on boss levels.

Hey Recruits,

It's your favorite Sector VIII pilot trainer. Logan! Today's patch probably comes as a bit of a surprise, as we didn't plan on a patch for a while. To let you in on a secret, make sure to join our discord and subscribe to our YouTube channel, because we have BIG news coming this week. Let's get on to the patch!

Bugfixes:

Fixed a bug where when fighting T.O.M there's a rare chance his HP bar would disappear.
Fixed a bug on levels 38-39 that caused some strange lighting.
Fixed several bugs and optimized both Survival: Systolis and Survival: Demrova.
Optimized several skills.

While this patch had no plans on balancing especially before our BIG news, we had to address to issues that we caused by bugfixing and optimizing.

Neon Barrier

Overall Neon Barrier has been a decent skill and that's not why we're changing it today, since we cleaned up some code, Pulsating nodes have a weird effect on them that causes repeated attacks against the wall to deal reduced damage back to itself as a sort of defense mechanism to make sure pulsating nodes don't get instantly destroyed when they shoot the wall. We changed the background code so pulsating nodes will take a bit more damage then previously now that pulsating nodes are a bit smarter than before.

Damage reduction from multiple attacks from Pulsating nodes changed from 50/25/12.5/0 to 70/70/70/70/70/70/70...

Pulse Blast

Pulse Blast was already down in the dumps, but now enemies are snippier and a bit quick to back into the action, with this new change it's time to lower that cooldown and give the player more opportunities to fight from a range.

Cooldown changed from 5.5/5.5/5.5 to 4.75/3.75/2.75

Before my review, I want to make it clear. I am in no way good at this genre of games.

Review:
Solid game. Good visuals, good voice acting and solid game play.
Level difficulty is a consistent yet manageable slope....until about mid way through the game. But that is more than likely me being god awful at this genre of games.

The skill tree is extremely diverse with very flexible build paths. The enemies are all appropriately difficult and have fair mechanics that aren't annoying to face. The bosses all are unique, each having completely different combat styles.
And I have to say, the music is right up my alley. I have stalled in levels to listen to the soundtrack, I wont lie. (I failed and died, but I did try to....)

My only gripe is that there isn't enough of Pete. Gotta have me more Pete. Pete is a solid character.

It's taking me a bit longer to play through than I expected, but sometimes things get busy and such. But, I've played enough for now to feel like I can reflect on what I've played well enough to leave an honest review.

I like it. If I had to choose the simplest way to explain what the game is like, I'd say Geometry Wars if it was more of a story focused experience. Graphically we've got the neon colors, wireframe style graphics, and sparkly explosions. It looks good, it fits extremely well for the game's narrative.

Combat is equally entertaining, with a robust skill to help you create a fairly strong ship that'll be quite the killing machine. Your options play well into the level design, with lots of corners to navigate, some entertaining boss fights, and plenty to keep you on your toes. The level design also feels a bit non-linear at times, as many of them will have you traversing through the level as you look for different things that need to be blown up.

The story is somewhere between serious and whimsical. It's fully voiced, and the voice acting is fairly varied and well done. Now, the voices might not be for everyone but I personally have found they grow on you as you play. It fits the characters, I think. You've got this feeling that there's a level of nervousness with interaction, and honestly it feels like one of the more human interactions I've seen in awhile.

In any case, the game really deserves more attention than it has received. It's an entertaining game, and I firmly recommend it.
