And I don't have a folder yet, it seems the game just won't even start at all. I tried reinstalling.
do you have a log file in MyDocuments/Tribute Games/MercenaryKings?
Show us it's content if you do.
I tried reinstalling the game twice, I reinstalled my drivers, I tried the distributables but all said they were installed correctly.
the game shows up in the taskbar and then disappears right away

1) (optional; only if you have a second monitor) Open Task Manager, or if you have it, Process Explorer, and put it on your second monitor. This way you can watch what happens.
2) Right-click Mercenary Kings in Steam, and hit Properties, then click Properties. In the Properties dialog, click the Local Files tab, and then click Browse Local Files...
3) In the Windows Explorer window that pops up, double-click MercenaryKings.exe.
I was going to tell Danahi to run it with the -windowed command line option, but on my machine, it doesn't actually work, whether through Steam launch options, or in a shortcut, or even via the command line (cmd).
tried that stuff already, doesn't work
