hope she gets back before completing the game :(
At first I thought it was a bug of some sorts that she suddenly vanished from camp without anything being mentioned in the radio dialogues after I had ranked up.
As someone who has defended just about everything about this game (outside of the multiplayer) this decisions is far worse than "no good." It is one of the stupidest design decisions I've ever seen made in a game. It offers absolutely nothing positive to the game.
There is nothing that says you need to complete ever mission in order. I believe they mention she's captured in the cutscene after the end of the stage of the boss of the previous rank, and a cursory glance at the mission descriptions was enough for me to know which one to do to get her back.
Not saying it's the greatest choice on the dev's part because it's somewhat unintuitive, but there were ways of knowing which mission to do to save her.
