HG-35
Class: Handgun
Receiver: Splinter
Barrel: Karabiner
Magazine: Karabiner
Sight: Sabotage
Stock: Crimson Dragon
Ammunition: Armor-Piercing
Pros:
Moderate power (841/1682 damage)
not weak against anything (that I've seen)
extremely long range
pierces targets and walls
no deviation
less than 1 second reload speed (.95s)
lighter than similar long range rifles
Cons:
not as powerful as similar tier sniper class weapons
manual fire
small magazine (5 rounds)
no deviation
not strong against anything
I'd like to see those sets just to compare. I just beat VK (barely, and with no lives left), and I'm interested in seeing what I should be at in terms of gun gear.
If I need firepower I usually use M40 Sniper (7000/mag), maybe use Karabiner mag with mag mod (9000+/mag), or just add mag mod to the M40 (14000/mag) though usually not enough time to fire full mag (20 bullets) at boss.
While a bit heavy with the Termination barrel, a Sprinter mod made the weight not a problem. Reload was really fast (1.5 seconds-ish), and the rate of fire with the 12 round magazine still allowed for long jumps(When you jump and fire downward to generate lift, giving you a pseudo-hover that is usually seen on the Machine Gun).
That gun took me very deep into the game, moreso for its utility than damage. Damage was sub-par, but still serviceable in the temple. By the assembly, it was clearly weak for the area(But STILL usable with proper tactics thanks to piercing).
While it's clearly not the strongest gun, the fact that it lasted for a good portion of the mid-game and to the beginning of the end-game makes it the most valuable gun to me.
I went through a bunch of different guns and parts until I could make a shotgun that used the AP/Shotgun ammo. That's my main gun now(I have to still make some better parts, but being able to use it without needing a compatability mod is amazing).

Bio-Mod: Sprinter+, Geomancer+

Great for freezing bosses so you can land more shots than usual before they leave themself open again. Does enough damage so freezing isn't all it does.
You can probably switch out Sprinter+ as well for whatever you like, I just like extra speed.
Cons of it is it's not long range or homing I guess, there's a few enemies that are immune to freeze damage too, none of the bosses are immune to freeze though as far as I know.

I uploaded this a while ago.this was my very first boss grinding set.only with stuff available from the last beta version.
First: Thanks a lot pooderquaste for that "early version"-setup..:D
But I just wounder if anyone got a great MG-setup?
Mostly I'm looking for one with very short reload but still OK dmg. Is the pulsar worth going for after it was nerf down? I think I saw it with like ,079 in reload before..:)

Maelstrom is pretty great even thought I didn't know why until I used it. It allows you to able to hit enemies at very strange angles without really aiming for them.
I like the Grim Reaper which is a machine gun with sniper missiles. Usually not a fan of missiles since you need to be at a pretty far distance for the locking on to even work and even then you need to stand at a specific spot. But hey, I'm not saying no to a machine gun with sniper missiles.
My favorite weapon is probably Final Justice with selective fire proficiency. 3 times 1400-1500 damage every burst. There's not much which can stand up to that.
The Crystalliser shotgun was pretty fun. Unfortunately there are no enemies with weakness to cryogenic damage, most of them even have resistance to it.

Ammunition: Hollow-Point for general use, elemental for bosses.
Mod 1: Gun Fighter
Mod 2: Sprinter+
Proficiency: Speedloader
This gun unloads bullets like you wouldn't believe. Each shot is pretty weak at 480 per bullet with the reload bonus, but when you can empty an entire clip into your enemy within a second and reload in just over half that time, the damage tends not to matter as much. Maybe I'll fiddle around with more fancy configs using exotic ammo types once I've beaten the game, but so far this fairly vanilla fast-firing submachine gun is working out great.
To improve upon your whilrybird+ if you just make a couple changes you can get your reload speed down to literally 0 so you don't ever get that annoying clicking sound / small dely between clips. Also, it's basically like having turbo fire if you use the selective fire proficency.

Ummm Payback IS better... and there IS a reload time in your video... I can clearly see it. That click is a visual and audible annoyance.
Not to mention there's a slight delay between your shots and you lose a bullet every volley because of your clip size, which equates to less DOT. This means with King Cobra you're losing 2 shots per second technically.
Also I noticed you started using selective fire... so I think you just don't want to admit I perfected your original setup... ^_^ but that's fine, we all have our pride.
I'm also doing more number damage than you by a bit over 100 points because I have Punisher+ instead of Sprinter+. I don't see the reason for fast movement speed, I beat all the par times with normal speed on every mission. This game play so clunky (stop and go, stop and go) there's really no reason to be able to move like Strider.
My setup is literally the best setup if you want fluid, uninterrupted bullet flow + highest DPS, try it out with Punisher+, you won't go back. It's just a completely broken setup. I beat Dr. Niel in 1:01 or something ridiculous... I probably got lucky with his pattern though because he went to the middle of the room and summoned tentacles 3 times in a row. ^_^
It's also nice to just run through stages mashing the X button, not really having to aim and not hearing, *click*, *click*, *click*. It makes my eye twitch.
Props to you for figuring out the other two mods though, you almost had it... but that's what these posts are for, collaborating with others so we can find the best possible setup.
Collectively we both just broke the game... there isn't any better setup than this... it's literally the ultimate "hit X" to win setup. Kudos to us.
