Mixcraft 8 Home Studio

Mixcraft 8 Home Studio

16 tracks for $50 is very steep
This looks like a remake of magix music maker 16 with guis moved a little some functions dont even look like they are included, and only 16 tracks even mm16 had 99 for the same price..,I am staying with my pro DAW and not going to play with this its a toy

It's the home studio version, not the pro version. Most people don't need more than 16 tracks but yeah I wish there was a dlc or something that allowed you to have more tracks

i usually need at least 16 tracks just for my rhythym section these days lmao

I guess if you like to split your drum kits 16 really aint enough :(

yeah, i kinda outgrew a lot of programs that used to be a really good option just for getting something put together, i was hoping this would be more intensive than it is but oh well :)

oh and even my magix music maker 16 has the capability for a lot more than 16 tracks for $50 plus vst plugin support up to vst 2 32 bit, step recorder, video editor, many included kits and instruments, midi editor, well almost everything (still use it when i have to use 32 bit bacause a plug wouldnt bridge to 64 bit if its not native 64), I use abelton, studio one, reason, reaper, lmms, and a couple other daws and some online daws as well all more than 16 tracks even my abelton light version lets my friend use more than 16 tracks and it was free, so im just saying $50 for 16 tracks only is kinda steep unless your just a hobbyist or a beginer and this would have to be feature packed to be worth that..just saying no disrespct intended as I may go and look at their pro version and see if there is a test drive to see if it is worth my time as almost evry daw I use can rewire into the others to make a massive library of instruments and tools driven by all those daws and hosted by one on top, if good enough and capable this may be aded to my chain:steamhappy:

a agree but as an actual registered BMI artist and not someone who just wants to play with the DAW but use it to actually produce nothing but pro will do, so untill they get pro on here i have to pass, sad face

when it says 16 tracks, are you able to make, say, a chord on one track? Also, would effects have to be on their own tracks?

effects like volume control, echo, etc
Mixcraft is very underestimated... since you can use any vst with it, there´s literally nothign more expensive programs can do that mixcraft can´t... i own the standard version of mx7 and i don´t miss anything really... okay, granted, 16 tracks in this version might not seem much, but under normal circumstances you´ll barely reach that limit...

No Gwesky, effects are set in the track you wanna have them on, can have muliple effects on one track/ instrument, including automization etc. i foten have 5 ore more effects/eq/compressor etc on each track...

seperate tracks are what they are supposed to be: seperate tracks, so no... effects won´t take away from the ammount of tracks you can use for instruments, audio recordings, or loops.

just btw: i don´t know if you can have additional take-tracks within one track as you can in the other versions...but if so, 16 is not really the max you can have ;)

mx is very powerful if you look deeper under it´s "music faker" hood.

look the power isn't of question its basically mixcraft lite, they have pro on steam now as i requested and have peaked my interests with this offering,I didnt mean to sound harsh as I have magix music maker 16 it has 99 tracks vst support but is only 32 bit and so suffers from the memory cap asssociated with 32 bit programs , and so it had to be replaced. I am hard on a DAW software because I mix professional music and so if im going to invest in and DAW software it has to be top of the line and compatible with studio one, reaper, ableton live, ect as I rewire my DAW software together to slave tools and capabilities together and use 16 tracks before I am even out of my rhytym section, the only way to use only 16 tracks is if i record bounce all of everything i record as i do it track by track and bounce to one audio track and delete the primary track as I go, this process would be tedious and no lend to easy editing or changes on the fly and so is too limited for MY needs, and to be honest i would have gotten sonar by acoustica most likely as i KNOW it is rewire capable, its a great company that makes this software, their stuff is top notch so if you can use ONLY 16 tracks go for it, a lite daw is where i started it only had 10 tracks it was acidized the lite version of acid, and lmms (free linux windows daw) which is weird in structure and has a weird learning curve but works well, as I said ACOUSTICA is a GREAT company if you only need a lite daw this is a great buy, if not look into their pro version of mixcraft or sonar by them, although ive heard a rumor that sonar is being discontinued maybe it's to support mixcraft pro and mixcraft, and i dont know where you get off calling this a "music faker" you can produce some really bomb tracks with 16 instruments only but you cant do what i do with my DAW and unlimited tracks :), this is a real DAW no "music faker" it's just a lite version OK my friend
