how can I change the interface language?

Start a new game (one of the lower 3 buttons on start screen), then press the 2nd button in the next menu (left side of the shop). The last entry (the one with arrows) above the apply button is language select.

Is there a reason English is not an option when you load the game for the first time? At the least, you should have a language button on the save game select screen so people don't have to dig through menus they can't read to get to a setting they never should have had to worry about in the first place.

I'm playing on a steam deck. When I first installed I thought my finger must have slipped because I couldn't figure out how I'd gotten into a language list that didn't have English on it. I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling at first because it was so confusing.

I played Necrosmith and the language switched when I pressed English... It happened in this game too and once again I cannot read anything. Ty for the workaround.

There should be a ini setting text file to change this for these games if this is a common issue....
