13 hours now and I have 2 keys and missing 3 gadgets too, RNG is going to kill this game...
I found one on my first run, then none for the next few, then 3 in a single run.
Instead of masking plates just leave 1 small flying bat alive after the first wave. They hardly do any damage and the timer wont reset for the next wave till its dead.
You will still get the waves when going through a cloud and when you kill a boss it kills your little bat. But you can just keep another thing alive when the next wave spawns
If you put the docking station back into the spider when you go to the next mine another one will spawn when you go to pick it up. Looks like the buffs do stack, but carrying round 4/5 stations while amusing isn't really worth the effort.
Main upgrade screen is 100% now but im sort of hitting a WALL so to speak..
Got a fairly streamlined path to upgrade max movement speed and mining speed to the one before max level before the first timer runs out.
Feels like I am exploring tons of caves after that but no more keys and like a average of 1 upgrade schematic per 4-5 runs. It kinda crushes the motivation when I am already hitting really fast "efficiency" upgrades and still dont have enough time to explore the top section of the wall so it feels like whenever the last stage of the boss arrives I was one or two caves away from that key, over and over again.
Doesnt help that the game is like "here, take these machinegun upgrades!" when I find stuff in caves. Hurts bad when I know there are amazing ones like move + mining speed and a big mining speed one, both of these are massive increases in how much you are able to do in a run.
Meanwhile... +15% faster turret rotation on a weapon I dont even use/upgrade! yay!
Still like the game tho.
Edit: oof, I think I just did like a 4 hour session and now I see a patch that probably would have made things better that I am fairly certain I did NOT have when playing so my complaining is maybe already outdated!
