However, my rocket are still getting denied by the boss somehow. :-(
Unfortunately - even with getting better at jumping (space) for the laser attack, that is not a long term solution. Since it doesn't recharge fast enough for each "round". I mean: laser - jump, rocket - dash, rocket - dash.
And since you get basically 2 shotted by either laser or rocket, this is very-very difficult. I hope the devs will realize, how much "Dark soul" (extreme challenge level) hard this is.
This game was not so much punishing before the DLC. So I definetly don't like this change of "balance" of the game. On normal difficulty, this balance seems waAaay off.
Edit: I'm pretty convinced the boss invincible. I hit it with a lot and it never even smoked.
Otherwise I don't know what to do.
Been thinking of trying to hit that red thing that pops out before it activates the shield generator. Hit it a few times before, didn't notice anything special with it and died before I could say it was a decent attempt at breaking it.
Also, been thinking of trying some shenanigans with the "Emergency Safe" upgrade once I'd be done collecting new tech from that first section. Want to see how that works. I'm hoping I'd be able to carry over materials from the pre-DLC area over to the DLC so I could just max out all my upgrades at the start... For what little that'll actually do to help. Crappy starter gun will still be crappy and I'll have to pray I get the two drones in that DLC run to get any value out of those resources. Or at least the gun drone.
Only if you stand in the marked impact spots and let them hit you. As stated already, you can always just move past him and not get hit. Don’t know why, but almost everyone seems afraid of touching him.
Yeah... Neither of the guns we can get off that first stage in the DLC are suited for this fight. Not being able to see those tells is lethal. We're stuck with the first gun for this fight and it sucks... Just upgraded my missile to deal 12000 damage now. Maybe that'll pop that red thing at the start.
If my next attempt fails, I'll try a farming run on the rpe-DLC area and pray I get the gun drone afterwards. Three maxed gun drones are no joke. They'd let me focus on evasion.
