There's a crossdressing character and their dialog (and other characters' reactions) got heavy edits in this new collection.

You can see it in the original post. Basically a small change to phrasing and focus of the sentence.

It's not a small change. The original dialogue is clearly written with the implication that in the Phoenix Wright world, a guy cross-dressing is not normal but the new dialogue changes the intent completely towards the guy finding dresses pretty, implying a normalisation of cross-dressing. This is a failure of localisation designed to pander to the woke crowd and goes against the disclaimer at the start of the game.

Says the person assuming a post they disagree with is coming from someone who hasn't already finished all Ace Attorney games on other platforms. That's textbook emotional disarray right there. Very entertaining but doesn't address the actual point of the discussion that the translation is now incorrect and people like you are defending it with a veneer of credibility that crumbles immediately under any genuine scrutiny.

Yeah and the best part is that as long as people keep posting here, the thread will keep getting boosted up for everyone to see Capcom going woke and lying about preserving the games first hand. It's a win for common sense either way.

When someone claims the meaning and context fully changed when it hasn't, then it's a safe assumption they haven't played.

I can't take you seriously. Going woke? They barely changed anything. If anything what they did is the opposite of woke.

Did you ever consider there's other versions of the game that have this slightly modified script? Not only did it release on 3DS and Android, it has two separate English translations between US and UK.
