Excessive system requirements
I find the system requirements ridicelous.

DGS runs fine on my computer, but I won't even be able to boot this game. And both games were originally made on the same engine: the MT Engine.

You don't have "16MB RAM" as they've listed?

Just ignore their arbitrary requirements, get a refund and complain here again if it doesn't run on your machine. I'm sure you'll be fine.

Since when are 'system requirements' ever hard locked that you can't even try?

Do remember that system requirements often consider the minimum that they tested it on. It also probably considers what 'most' people have. Such things are public (https://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey/Steam-Hardware-Software-Survey-Welcome-to-Steam) and there's no reason to waste time and money testing on low end hardware than almost no one has.
The issue isn't the ram amount. It's the direct x level.

not having a D3D12 supported card in 2023 DX12 is like 9 years old. time to invest

Also This collection runs on REengine rather than MTFramework

I know it's a different engine. I chose to highlight that the previous one did not have these requirements.

Yes, but the more configurations evolve, the more publishers allow themselves to set high configurations, even for 2D games.

I personally think that if the game (in the same quality) had been released around 2019-2021, it would have had a lower configuration.

Very likely, yes.

DX12 is really old now, and that makes me feel old to say. This is the same issue as when Naruto Storm 4 released and everyone whined it required DX11. I had a friend who also did the same, not realizing he had a GPU that was 7+ years old at the time.

When engines change to adapt with time, things get deprecated. The fact we haven't had a DX13 alongg with W11 tells me that we won't be running into this song and dance for a while. The moment we get a DX13 is when I hope devs start learning Vulkan

If it just requires any GPU that supports any level of DX12 there's GPUs that came out 10 years ago that support the feature set like the 600 series from nvidia or the 200 series from AMD which can be fetched for sub $30 online nowadays.
It sucks for sure having to upgrade but its likely that RE:Engine doesn't support anything less than DX12 and its not realistic to expect developers to provide support for a small userbase since over 90% of PC's will have DX12 support.

To add onto this, most CPUs around the same timeframe also support DX12 on their onboard graphics, and most Linux users even have CPUs that support DX12. If your hardware is so obscure even Linux users don't use it, why expect developers to support it?

Sad how far we've fallen, when people try to use 15 year old tech to run a game with a new engine

That's how it is with PC gaming.

But good news for you! All games are available in the google play store and you can play them if you have AT LEAST android 5, which is 10 years old. In fact it's advisable to play on older devices because they never updated and forgot about them.

To be frank I completely forgot about Android 5 because barely anything ran on it. Half the games that you could download would just crash on the spot.

Maybe if you were to have a custom android OS flashed or if you could somehow add more RAM, maybe, but that's not counting the dice roll of Google Play potentially locking you out too.

There's nothing strange or wrong about a newly released port of a game using using the latest graphics API... Stop using your Windows 7s and 10 year old cards.

A visual novel ported from handheld consoles requiring 16 Gigs of ram is outright hilarious. Why would that be a requirement at all?
