I wouldn't go in expecting the same consistency of quality you get from the original trilogy, but as a package deal I think there's good in each of them, and they're still worth playing. Most people will probably agree that TGAA is better written, though, so if you didn't like that then it couldn't hurt to wait for a sale to be safe.
You're like me then.
Anyway. yeah the "Apollo Justice" games are definitely better than "The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles"...
...the 1st and 3rd anyway, since Dual Destinies is kinda bad ('^ ^ ): the new character takes too much spotlight compared to, well, the rest of the cast fans actually care about, and also the game is just way too easy.
Just keep in mind however that the games of this bundle are a bit different than "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy": even though they follow the same formula, everything even remotely challenging about the investigation/exploration/plot progression is gone. There's a a tiny bit of that in the first game, but the other 2 will just hold your hand and guide you all the way to the trials.
