Custom avatar being placed well below the "foot level" of other characters
For some reason, when I try to make a custom avatar, I can't change the torso at all. This is in itself a pain, but since I'm trying to change the avatar to that of a kobold, I run into another problem, namely that my character's placed lower down on the screen than other characters, so his feet clip through places they're not supposed to be.

Any idea how I can fix that? I really wanna play about with custom avatars!

The collision is generated based on the position of the original legs from whatever object you started out with, so its important where those leg limb boxes are. You can delete the art and then place a different stamp on it, but just be careful where you put the original leg boxes.

Thanks for the advice, I'll give it a try! The awkward thing right now is being unable to delete the torso art while keeping its collision box, so I have to try and cover the given body with the kobold torso art, which makes the legs look kind of awkward unless I re-position them.

I also can't modify or delete the art without altering their bounding boxes too, which complicates matters a bit further.

Just an update, I've found what appears to be the problem. As soon as both the original bounding boxes for the legs are removed, that's when I start encountering the problem. I tested it with Maxwell.

When I remove one leg (Which is then replaced with a fresh bounding box), his collision still works fine and he stays on the same level as other characters. When I replace it with a Kobold leg, it's still fine. As soon as I remove his remaining leg, though, regardless of where the bounding boxes are, he drops down to the lower level.

Maybe more avatar types are in development? Or at least the ability to make bind boxes.

Avatar Editor is pretty broken right now. It seems all you can do is make a variation of Maxwell. I tried making a character by covering up the original limbs so the body parts still move properly, but I couldn't do it due to it forcing his limbs to be incredibly chubby and the fact that part selection is so frustratingly inaccurate.

I agree with the above poster. It would be great if you could change the body shape to be based off of some other item in the game.

I really hope that they improve it in a future update.

Can you edit an existing avatar to work, or do you need to start over?
