So this game is entirely online?
Is this game entirely online? As in, no physical program on your computer (like say, Sims 2). I purchased the disc version of the game, and when I examined the properties of the desktop icon, it told me that it was just a link, and I get prompted to sign into Steam. I'm just wondering because this sort of thing is entirely new to me (actually I think the last computer game I got *was* Sims 2!) and since I do have an internet cap, I want to keep track of these things. So there is no physical copy on my computer or any way to play offline?

Well since it's on Steam, you have to be logged in to Steam in order to play it. But the game is on your computer; the only online element is the Steam Workshop connectivity.

you prolly have to launch the exe of the game from the games folder if u are offline, but otherwise u need to be logged into steam. when i was offline, i tried to play the game from steam but it failed to launch, but i launched it from the game folder, and it ran fine.

I don't have an exe of the game though. At least, not that I can find. I have steam installed on the computer because the DVD made me do it. But I don't see anything labeled "Scribblenauts" anywhere. I'm sorry I'm just very confused over this in spite of my enthusiastic icon.

Edit--OH! There it is, among the Steam folders, cleverly called "Scribble" so I wouldn't find it. How crafty. Thanks for the help!

so i can play this with out internet connection ? i also boughta disc copy thinking would be like the steam copy but with more folders wasnt expecting it to be anotehr way to get it from steam (surprisingly its also was cheaper than steam too liek it was less than the price they had when it was on sale)

steamfolder/steamapps/common/Scribblenauts

This is your scribbluenauts folder most likely.
It does not play over the internet. Steam lets you download and play your game on any PC that has internet, though.
And once installed, you can use the steam offline mode when your internet is down for a few weeks.
