As always, people are prone to over-simplification. People do dislike being preached to from political activists in entertainment. Disney has been completely tanking due to this kind of behavior. Games have also suffered some backlash on this front, but unlike TV and movies, games are mostly consumed by younger people who have had their brains completely destroyed by woke propaganda, so the backlash is usually less severe.
