About damage buffs — did you confirm in combat, by right-clicking on inflicted damage in combat log? Because new patch did this: "The damage displayed in the weapon description and in inventory was reset to a base one" — and hence tooltips are not showing real damage now, only basic values, without counting in talents or attributes.
I don't have those two abilities, so cannot test them atm.
Yes, I did test it as an sanctic psyker officer/ master tactician. The damage only scales off Psy Rating and Resolve. No damage buffs can modify that.
Thats double sad with Psalms of Heroes also not working.
This bug has completely killed my momentum to keep playing my Psyker until they fix it.
I'm not sure about that. There was a difference in damage between some enemy types. At least when I testet it after the patch yesterday. Are you sure the targets were demons or xenos?
Unfortunately, the damage from Purge Soul will remain pretty bad without the extra Psy-Rating from the buggy talent and no damage buffs. Hell, the power can't even crit!
But my psyker is also on hold for now. :-(
Yes, I'm sure. I reran the prologue with a fresh character, and I was hitting the Void Spawn on the bridge with Soul Purge for same amount of damage ( 1-7) as the cultists and the servitor in the initial combat. I even hit Argenta with it, and it did the same amount of damage. Previously when I ran this encounter for the first time, I was hitting the Void Spawn much harder.
I figured running low end content where there are substantially less factors that could influence the numbers would give me a better gauge. It didn't seem to factor in the 150% damage increase on the Void Spawn, unless for some reason it's not classified as a daemon, nor the 100% increase for being an agent of Chaos at the very least.
It's a little silly that Soul Purge can't crit when Sanctus Psykers can take a talent that raises their crit% by their resolve number, lol.
So even more useless...
I hope Owlcat fixes that soon.
