Cant rescue Heirix (Chapter 3)

The game just wont let me interact with the execution engine master that is right in front of his cage so i cant tell him to open it up, no matter how back i go into saves or i reload the area it just wont let me. I saved everyone else so please tell me what im doing wrong

Same here :( Did all I could, even fought with the engine master, but no joy.

Same. Told Tervantias to release all companions and he agreed. Yet, Heinrix is missing. I am now at the start of chapter 4, no Heinrix

Any luck fixing this? Same situation. Was able to free Cassia, but cannot interact to free Heinrix.

Speak with another one. You need to convince him to release the guy.

I just wanted to follow up that I am partially an idiot, but also partially there seems to be a slight glitch here. I had initially assumed that I needed to rescue all my retinue because the quest was not complete and still told me to seek them out, but in reality I already had all of them (only those that were in the active party at the time of the event are actually here in the city). The quest eventually went to FAILED status on me when I proceeded to the next arena battle, but otherwise everything seems fine. Heinrix was never captured in the first place, he was still waiting back on my ship.

Now I'm glad I left Heinrix on the bridge.

I imagine he will be taking care of the ship while I'm gone.
