If you use an officers Heroic Ability with +1 AP and MP for each kill, she can clear whole maps in one turn with 50+ damage Gazes at 200 willpower. Which is something you can have on turn 2 or even 1.
You can have this online at a pretty low level already. For me it was in the middle of act 1. Really did a number on Aurora too.
Once you got her a second Archetype like tactician, you can boost that even more.
That's so true ya!!!
until you realize that in Examplar perks (36+) there is a perk adding another roll of damage on failed and double that on succeeded will save.
that being said, just held my gaze is her bread winner, once she is a Mater Tactician and you get her stacks going, she will one shot everything she lock her gaze on with a single AP.
you wont even need anything else.
you are missing steps in your buffs sequence too.
pick all the buffs ... particularly the AoE one, might seem useless at first, until you realize that her Navigator perk that work with Infusion will stack "infusion value" to all stats of the whole team, every turn. including herself.
anything else in her actual spells for doing damage for her outside of just held my gaze is pretty much a waste of points imo.
ah I see, which perk is that one again to infuse her value for the whole team? I am not there yet xD, I am playing the game as slowww as I can coz I enjoy it so much ,especially the voidship battles LOLOL
Her "allies affected by her powers" also works off attacks.
Haven't tested it yet, but she has a massive inherent damage nerve to allies, so it might also be a thing to just use the area gaze attack to buff up the whole party if you don't have anything better to do.
Last, some of her abilities seem to have secondary passive effects that aren't visible during the level up screen. Held in my Gaze is one of those.
I’d rather she do the buff and dps spread tbh.
Held in gaze trivialises a lot of bosses people cry about as well.
Might be some guide knowledge that got passed around a lot, leading to most people not even trying out the other stuff.
Kind of glad I went into it blind. :D
Probably, there's some weird 'min-max' builds out there at the moment that just... doesn't really click for me.
I went for it because it's the most unique stuff Cassia can do compared to other origins, but after some act 2 weirdness with the terrain I respecced her and really didn't love the results (I'm using Waking Nightmare/Warp Curse Unleashed/ Scourge of the Red Tide). I might respec her and try that gaze build, but it's becoming expensive now and delaying my profit factor development :P
I agree on gaze being better than movement though. It seems like the DC for the save does not stack with her willpower? Not sure, the combat log doesn't say afaik.
the one related to reducing warp damage taken and reducing veil degradation by 10.
since it's an AoE it applies her staff Infusion level to the whole team, infinite scaling, and infusion boost Weapon and Ballistics, which not that many buff increases.
