It is probably not close to optimal but I think it be cool for him, any ideas?

The beauty of this game is that you can make EVERYTHING work if you choose the correct coresponding skills and adapt your playstyle and partymembers accordingly.

I just use him as a psy buffer debuffer, he has some nasty skills that work well with melee, so using arch militan is kinda meh. I just use Vanguard so he can be more tanky.

it's all about synergies. with other team member.

for instance it will be hard to play withtout Cassia and her buffs or a form of Leader.

Arch-Militant is just about using different weapons, such as 1 melee, 1 pistol and alternating, some items give you better flexibility for what you can use to trigger effects.

but yes it's a good build, and relatively tanky

Actually Arch militant is probably the strongest for him. Versatility stacks work from just alternating between single melee and aoe melee. It also works from his life drain staff as well.
You can also convert versatility into dodge parry chance giving him over 200 chance to dodge and parry at 12+ stacks with careful approach.

Yea, It's pretty good. As far as I've noticed, as long as you don't mess around and picking "useless" talents, you can do practically anything for anyone. Of course some might shine more than the others, because of certain attributes and whatnot, but they all work nicely. Remember to always synergise and it's going to be flawless
