Major Spoilers: Thoughts on Final Boss and Ending
So I managed to get all the way to the final boss, and want to discuss both it and ending slides. Obviously, major spoilers will be involved.

So, the final boss... was not what I expected. At all. It led to a big "What the ♥♥♥♥", frankly, because there's absolutely no way I can see a group of 6 having beat this thing.

For those who got here and don't know what it is, the design of the boss arena, where it comes from, and it's body design all point to it being a Transcendent C'tan. The boss arena fits the design of a Tesseract VAULT, not a Labyrinth, and Vaults are specifically utilized to store Transcendent C'tan. Additionally, the dialogue of it trying to break out, ALSO fits Transcendent C'tan, as the Vaults are constantly being damage by the C'tan trying to get out and the sheer power they possess. And the shard in question? The Void Dragon, regarded by many to be the strongest C'tan in lore (and heavily implied that a large shard of it is the Dragon of Mars that it took the Emperor himself to subdue and lock up).

It was also a remarkably easy boss fight compared to the dopplefight in the area before it.

And the ending slides, oh god I hope that the ending slides are just bugged, because they singlehandedly made me go from "Enjoying the game despite the bugs" to "No. Just no".

Because there's no way the Imperium would be that stupid.

I freaking got a Transcendent C'tan shard loyal to me, thanks to Nomos, a Rogue Trader with the Emperor-Given right to utilize alien tech and negotiate with Aliens, which a C'tan certainly is... and the Imperium sends a crusade to wage war on me? Which I both simultaneously lose and win, according to the ending slides?? Just, what? First of all, the Imperium is not so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid as to push their luck with a Transcendent C'tan that is loyal to a LOYALIST. I wasn't a Heretic, yet the game said at several points that I was engaging in heresy in the ending as if I had gone heretic path. WHAT Heresy? The last decision to utilize my Emperor-Given right to negotiate with an alien, namely Nomos? Was it killing the Lord Inquisitor? He'd already gone completely radical, and there's absolutely no reason we should have gone telling everyone WE killed him instead of him dying to the Necrons all over the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ place, and since Heinrix became an Inquisitor thanks to his death, it's pretty clear to me that the Inquisition at large either doesn't care or doesn't know that Heinrix was involved with the Lord Inquisitor's death.

This ending just completely frustrated me and I had to vent somewhere. Any thoughts on this, or other people wanting to give their thoughts on the ending, please do!

So can the Rogue Trader become a god/demi god with said shard's power?

Or its all for Nomos?

Would be great if we could kick anyone's ass with such power. It makes no sense for a Rogue Trader to lose with such power.

No. It is not a daemon prince; it can't just gift you superpowers. It can give you a shiny new metal body, but then you'll be its slave.

A slave even if we become best buddies? :steamsalty:

Becoming a Necron of sorts might be tempting in a Asexual run though. :P

Btw, is it possible to become a Daemon Prince in this game following full Chaos?
