Leave space battles

[Im Ron Burgandy?]

Is there a feature or button for Leaving a space battle that I am missing?
I'm Currently being ambushed by a bunch of dark Eldar, and I can't fight off the numbers; I don't think I'm high-level enough. Can I retreat or am I stuck trying to battle this out? I would reload, but I didn't save for a while, and it would send me back an hour in gameplay.

Nope. Reload or win, those are your only options in space battles. Some battles have a turn limit and are probably considered a win when you reach the end of that limit, but I've never done so.

You might be able to change your game difficulty settings and put space battles on easy for that one battle if you're just stuck, but that might not be possible if you're only save is the autosave at the start of combat.
