why is the performance so bad?
I quite enjoy playing the game till now but the performance feels very demanding.
Playing on a ryzen 7 6800H and RTX 3070, my fps are all over the place between 40-60 fps. Playing on 1440p.
But the game doesnt even look so demanding? i dont like games looking ugly and performing bad. is this optimization or my specs too low????

For me it was smooth sailing until I installed the latest NVidia drivers that came out a few days ago.

Now it stutters a lot and GPU usage went up.

But, that's classic NVidia.

Unity, as always.

My GPU and CPU isnt even hitting 50%...
BG3 had a better Performance for me...

Game runs smooth over 60 fps on my 3080 and the Steamdeck OLED. May want to make sure the drivers are not an issue.

Try the creator build, if you can, sometimes that just works better as an alternative. Unless downgrading works for you.

Are you guys using fsr? Using it at quality gives me a fps more. On balanced its too blurry
Caelinus Dec 13, 2023 @ 3:41pm
2080 ti here, and getting 70-90 fps on ultra (or whatever the highest setting is called) without FSR.

I have not updated my Nvidia drivers recently.

I suspect that there may be a bug happening either with the game or with the drivers for some people, as the performance is *very* good for me.

game runs pretty great and looks pretty great also
maxed out everything possible on my 3070
but the temps got quite high for my system
so i decreased my resolution..but frankly temps are still touching 60 (yeah, i know that's not even a high temp. , but frankly i run Cyberpunk with pretty high settings and i'm not exceeding 50)

Got similar specs - 6800H and a mobile 3070 Ti in an Asus. What's the wattage on your 3070?
NoobOrFeed Dec 13, 2023 @ 3:44pm
ryzen 7 6800H and RTX 3070, playing on a Laptop with fsr Set to quality, but still, Performance feels Just Bad. ~50 FPS everything on high Default settings is to Low imo for that average Looks...
there is literally nothing happening on Screen. Not a wide area Like Baldurs Gate, just a small fight on a small map. Are there some settings that affect Performance heavily?

There's a memory leak or two, I think. Moving things to cargo starts off instant then slowly degrades to taking a couple of seconds. Not related to inventory size as it's back to instant after a restart and reload.

Welcome to Unity, terrible engine, I hope it dies.

While my 7900XTX has no trouble running the game at 4k, it was pretty much maxing out the card constantly (on a game that is in no way pretty enough to do so), I'm not a fan of my card dumping a 400+W draw onto my electricity bill for no good reason (only games as beautiful as Cyberpunk get a pass on that).

Enabling FSR should help, for some reason it's not enabled by default on any graphical preset. Switch it on and slap it on performance mode, that should help considerably. And if you want to cut down gpu temp/wattage, the game has a built in framerate cap. It's a turn based CRPG with animation quality from the 2000s, you really lose nothing by capping at what would normally be considered a low framerate.

The game runs smoothly even at maximum settings. The only thing that stands out is that it takes quite a long time to load the "last 5%". Game was installed on an nvme hard drive. I think most of the problems posted here come from older and therefore weaker PCs

150 Watts in my 3070TI. I have an omen 16 and using Performance Mode. Gave me a 10% boost in BG3 but in rogue trader its doing no noticeable improvement. My Laptop isnt even getting hot as my CPU usage is around 5% and GPU at ~50%
If i Run around my ship deck, i cant Hit 50fps.
Whats your Performance?
