A Kroot is fine too.
A companion is most likely a wishful thought that turned into rumor. Lorewise I believe theres zero chance for a dark eldar to team up with the crew and fit into the story in this game.
I'm honestly surprised we only get to be an imperium human, in an owlcat game. Their previous games were absolute RP paradises for both evil and good archetypes.
Sad to see so many 40k and fantasy games only make use of a crumb of the huge variety that warhammer has to offer.
The only games I know of with them playable are bloody DoW soulstorm from 2008 and battlefleet gothic armada 2. Don't think DE even show up anywhere else lol

Unfortunately he isn't shown in the recent companion trailer. Could be just the fact they have yet to announce him. Or he is just a temporary companion. Fingers crossed he is permanent thou.

I'm guessing in the full game, there's a means to fully turn him, recruit him or make him a DE leader in that chapter and why he's showing up at a Necron Tomb World which at least in the Beta, Necrons didn't show up in for chapters 1, 2 and 3.
My other guess is that he's one of those companions that as I mentioned are optional plot dependent ones. Similar to some companions in Kingmaker/Wotr. Those optional companions tended to be temporary or late game and never were really mentioned or highlighted in marketing as official companions.
I can't wait.
