is it possible to skip the ship battles?

I don't think so, but I also quite enjoy them. You have some ways to not do the battle through dialog, or just not initiating them, there are only some you can't avoid.

Not that i know of, they are a critical part of the game. But are ways to cheese things

You can use the Toybox mod for that. Kinda. Doesn't really turn off the space battles, but you can destroy all enemy ships with the press of a button. Effectively skipping that part of the game.

Also, RT permits players to quickly shift the difficulty slider during play. If you find an encounter too annoying, go to settings and knock the challenge level down to Story Mode.

what you can do is dl the toybox mod from nexus mods and during the ship battles just kill all the enemy ships with the cheat portion. I found the ship battles to be extremely tedious and lackluster in every aspect so I just skip them this way. My enjoyment rose considerably.

I don't mind them either, but the difficulty spikes for them are insane. Like they can go from easy, to downright impossible.

The only one that is a bit to hard is the one, beginning act 2, where you need to shoot down the stolen ship before it can flee. I most often don't do that until I reached Dargonus, did some other battles and got a better shield updated other components of the ship, or got the helper ship from the Dargonus building.

Ship battle is awesome minigame !
Since you gotta do it anyway, try and get into it. Get into all the mechanics it has and I think you're gonna be able to enjot it. It's pretty tactical and quite deep.

It looks complicated at first but they're actually crazy easy to win if you upgrade your ship and get better parts. I wish there was more ship combat with coop ships so my buddies didn't have to just watch the combat the whole time. Worst part about it is probably the "helper" ship you get at one point because it's a complete joke.
