Ship Arsenal Missing Big Gun on the Front of Ship?

I played the entire game a few times with the ship with the big gun on the front of it not the sword class and all that you seem to get is the Maintenance Deck that come stock? There is even an empty slot for what seems like an obviouse find in the game progression hower I woould be and was in fact wrong about this is this a KNOWN TEASE and no actual Gun or even god forbid New Guns plureral can be obtained?

Nothing in there for me either for the entire game. And it's not the special edition ship "skin" slot either.

The two slots only appeared in the last patch, they were not there before. Now that you say there's nothing to put in there during the whole game, my guess would be that they are somehow related to the upcoming DLC and appeared prematurely.
