Why does everyone in here beef with BDG III players
I half mean this as a joke but like half of the threads I go to there's someone who has the moral obligation to flame people who played it. Like I know it's basically the entire gimmick of steam forums to try and bait other people but it just seems oddly specific.

Larian got permission from WotC, just like Rogue Trader was something that needed permission from GW. If you say that BG3 was made by Hasbro, you have to say that Rogue Trader was made by GW. Both statements are false.

Companies giving permission to use their IP, does not mean that they are dependant on the product to be good. Because more often than not, the only or most money that the IP holder will see is from giving the IP permission, not the game sales, which will go to the DEVELOPER.
like i said in a differnt post Bethesda is kinda attached to doom eternal even tho they where not directly behind it
the fact you didnt read my other statements / post and are calling me out as a troll or such kinda just proves my point that BG3 fans tend to just be trolls.

Read what i write. Companies giving rights to their IP, is irrelevant to those companies failing or succeeding. The games that are made with those IP, bring money to the DEVELOPERS, Larian and Owlcat respectivelly.

I did not even call you a troll, i simply said that i cant read half of the ♥♥♥♥ you say because its written like it was done by a ten year old.

As someone who has about 500 hours in BG3 (out of Steam since it causes too many issues), it stems from BG3 hyped up nostalgic fanbois not accepting the game has flaws and issues. The game is a bug ridden mess but art style, visuals, voice acting, overall game play are excellent.

I guess Rogue Trader players accept this game has a ton of issues, some game breaking.

It's completely possible to love a game and still accept it's got massive problems. Nothing's really changed from DOS2.

this is true, Its ok to like/love a game that has issues, just dont be a ♥♥♥♥ about it and give out death threats to peeps who point this out or such

People here ♥♥♥♥ on BG3 because they're trying to huff copium about this game being even half as good.

BG3 is 50$ and a fully complete experience.
This game is 50$ but wants another 50$ for DLC that's not out yet.

Ain't no way in hell this game + its DLC is worth two BG3s. If I was gonna spend 100$ on a game I'd buy BG3 twice and give a copy to a friend so we can play co-op.

Don't misunderstand: I have 70 hours logged in Rogue Trader so far. It's good. But what could be a 9/10 experience is slapped down all the way to a 6/10 due to all the bugs, issues and missing QoL features, or bad design decisions they took.

And people here are so mad that BG3 is, comparatively, doing insanely well.

When you ask for 50$ for a game, people are going to compare you to your 50$ peers. BG3 and Rogue Trader are very similar games sitting at the same price point. You cannot sidestep the comparison. It's like Callisto Protocol and Dead Space.

both good for different reasons. i get its the popular comparison rn but i think it would be fairer to compare RT to owlcat's previous games and not BG3 which was very much a lightning in a bottle success story

Nah. Your game doesn't get a free pass just because it's better than your previous games, if it's still below what other games in the same genre and industry are giving.

In an environment where we don't have infinite money to spend on games, I completely understand people who look at two games priced at 50$, and would rather buy the better game of the two, especially in the same genre.

It's not like I'm saying 'hey, Super Mario RPG is better than Rogue Trader'. That's dumb. They're not even the same type or genre of game. But BG3 and Rogue Trader? Basically the exact same game if you remove the world-flavored coat of paint on top of them.

Lightning in a bottle story? Why couldn't Rogue Trader have been one too?

They rushed it out. Barely did any QA testing. It's full of frustrating bugs, a barely functional quest log, a star system map that's lacking crucial information, unbalanced builds and characters, like... c'mon? This is a full priced game + full priced DLC. Expect better.

yeah thats not what i'm trying to argue, and from what i've heard RT is a step back from KM and WOTR in a lot of ways.

kingmaker and wotr released buggy and unfinished too, unfortunately

the biggest difference imo is that RT is also a lot smaller than those games, yet also somehow just as buggy. I find that to be the most disappointing part, and I hope they don't just fix it with the dlcs. Like it feels that content is severely lacking in second part and I don't think it's ok.
