Still a problem with Winterscale, his redemption, the Iconclast path and his potential recruitment
Waited for this patch to see if *title* would get fixed, and... nothing. Still can't speak to She-Who-Leads (did some digging online and it said, that it's crucial to talk to her in order to get the desired outcome, where Calligos doesn't get his spine mangled by the Khorne demon, but it's impossible to start a dialogue with her) .

Disappointed. Guess I'll have to wait several more patches for this to be addressed.

I just pass this part, Dogmatic tho.

That was kinda badass, he redeems himself then I give him the Emperor's mercy and dude accepts it like a champ.

Oh well, he did one thing before he bites.

And I was given no Dogmatic point, wtf?

The thing is, that each of the three *secret* companions corresponds to a specific life path, and potential recruitment:

Uralon - Heretical
Chorda - Dogmatic
Winterscale - Iconclast (and Heretical, if you chose that path, and decide to leave him under the Bloodletter's corruption)

But currently Winterscale cannot be recruited on the Iconclast path, cause of the spine-mangling situation. According to what I've read online it's tied to a conversation with She-Who-Leads, but you can't talk with her after your arrival at the jungle settlement. Thus Iconclast players are locked out of recruiting a *secret* companion.

Oh wow, that's hilarious I guess.
I guess Iconoclast character can't get their ways every times, or there's a different way to convert him after he gets back to the ship.

I prefer the son anyhow.

But why am I not getting Dogmatic point for giving him the Emperor's mercy and setting his soul in peace?

I had a kind of similar issue with this section that i'm curious if anyone else had, I'm playing dogma and I snap-chose the dogma option to side with winterscale against the Aeldari. Wiped them out, talked to him afterwards, he was like "good luck with the haemonculus", I went to resolve that part of the quest, and then... that was it. Never got any other scenes with winterscale about his corruption (which I only found out about cuz of posts like this), and it caused Yrliet's companion quest to be un-progressable. Is this intended? I could definitely see it making sense that blatantly siding with him dogmatically leads to never finding out the twist, but it doesn't make any sense to me that this just locks Yrliet's quest.

If ye have Yrliet in your party, when confronting the Aeldari, and take Winterscale's side, she sides with her people and ye fail her companion quest.

I'm guessing she wasn't present in yer situation and that borked the quest-line somehow.

As for Winterscale being corrupted, ye start noticing stuff about him and his "companion" way back, during the first meeting at the ceremony on Dargonus. Ye find out more during the "Hunting grounds" quest, which leads to uncovering the Bloodletter and it's scheme.

No, I just test that scenario, despite the dialog where she says she trusts her kinsmen, you can actually start the fight against the eldar and ask her you to side with you and she does if you have done enough good flags for her.

It is kind of retarded but it is a thing. I am surprise too.

Wait a minute, you can talk to that person?
Playing as iconoclast, got to that part and there's not even talk icon over that person, only standard mouse icon.

So not only is there a game-breaking bug with Yrliet if you don't take her with you, there's also companion losing bug on literally 2 zones next to one another.
Welp, guess the wait for completing my playthrough will take even longer.

In all honesty, I can't progress from that part anyway, as mentioned, there's Yrliet related game-breaking bug literally next screen after the one in this topic, but good to know for when it gets fixed since my last save is there.

...there's been like 3 times I've walked past someone because my sleep deprived brain didn't notice them and all I did was continue the quest, sadly that was quite some time ago :steambored:

All in all, many quest-lines in Act 4 (and even before that) are borked and need lots of patching.

TBF, I'm not surprised, it's an Owlcat game. I love both Pathfinder games, but they were in the same unpolished, unfinished state when they released.
