Lexmechanic nowhere to be found on Kiava Gamma

As the title says, im trying to finish the Secrets of the Cults and keep Heinrix as a follower, but I am unable to do so as I am unable to get the codes for the room locked by a code south from the rotating bridge. Upon further investigation there is supposed to be an npc that I can talk to to get said code/password but he straight up does not exist no matter how far I go back in saves. I have zero clue on what to do and I need help because i want to keep Heinrix

1. When you enter the map, there is a priest who asks you to follow him.
2. He will take you to the right where an ambush happens.
3. Near the place enemies spawn, there is a passage with a lot of steam that damages your characters rather badly
4. Go through the steam passage (there is another route but it is harder to explain)
5. Turn to the right.

6. it does not matter what you do with the lexmachanic, he gives you information amyway.

Seems like a bug.

As far as I understant this is the pipe you can walk to get to a platform where you can return to the start of the level by using Athletics check. You can see this check almost immediately after entering the level. Right?

So when you pass steam and turn right you get to this pipe eventually. The Lexmechanic should be there, slightly to the right in between the pipe and the steam passage. If not, something is not right with the game unfortunately

Yeah i looked at this guide and have zero clue what to do about it. might end up using toybox to force complete the quest and all its steps to make sure i keep heinrix if i cant find another solution

it is a pity since I really liked interaction with the daemon cogitator. Possibly, you can only progress one stage (the lexmechanic) and get the rest...

The screenshot doesn't show the part where he is supposed to be, I think. He should be sitting around the corner where the two giant pipes come out of the ground, so slightly below the right corner of your pic (?).

yeah that screen just missed him, if you back track a little you should see area where you can turn in to, he should be around there

Ah ♥♥♥♥, oh well, ill see if i can find him in a previous save as i just ended up using toybox as all the stuff i found online showed him to be there, and multiple guides just ignored him all together
