Spoilers - Yrliet's final turn-about in Act 4
I just admit in the Act 4 forest encounter that my predecessor has something to do with their Craftworld's destruction.

And wow, immediately quest failed, Yrliet switches sides and combat starts.

These Eldar don't even let the mon-keigh have a minute to explain himself, eh?

EDIT: It's not even an admission, it's a "what if" even.

They're elves, they're evil, vicious and arrogant by nature. What else would you expect?
corisai Jan 11, 2024 @ 4:21am
LOL - do you skipped dialogues with Farseers in Act 2 & 3? They both are metalhead stubborn "blame monkeys for everything" and don't want to listen even their kin (Yrliet).

So yes, you'd basically admitted to Eldar that related to their Enemy. Space elves go mad. Everything as planned (c).

OK so Yrliet still harbors literal racist thoughts despite the heaven and Earth the humies have done for her.

Yrliet IS literally more dogmatic than a Sister of Battle when it concerns humans.

And I'm really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pissed is the only way to resolve the conflict peacefully is an Iconoclast check "hurrr you shouldn't kill the Eldar, Caligos" and then do a skill check.

This is lame as heck, tbh, I almost prefer fight to it out as a misunderstanding.

Me: NOOOO you shouldn't kill a hecking Eldarinos, Calligos
Calligos: what, why?
Me: You blood like a bloodthristy hecking monster!!!

This is terrible dialog.

No, I don't, I just say what if.
Honestly the only Eldar that seems reasonable so far is Muaran (post-Dogmatic check), Endenkin (the Farseer you rescue) and the Harlequin.

The rest deserve ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ death, tbh, they are WEAK and RACIST, it's like a bad joke.

That's the way the eldar ALWAYS are though. They make it look like they're helping the humans up until the point where the humans stop being useful then they discard them because they're filthy worthless monkeys.

The only good xenos is a dead xenos, except tech apes.

There are clearly some exceptions as I name above in this game.
But Yrliet is beyond ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reproach.

Worse, I bring her here to be the common voice so she can do diplomacy, worse, she turns against me at the drop of the hat.

I'd like some Yrliet defenders to explain this ♥♥♥♥.

What's terrible here? Calligos is Rogue Trader, not Inquisition trooper. But instead of his duties (protect & expand his domain + explore new worlds) he's hunting xenos in person. Together with axe (not very favored in Imperium) it's already screaming about Khorne :)

P.S. Iconoclast points = for believing that you can save a soul already succumbing to Chaos, instead of providing quick Emperor Mercy to it.

And this Iconoclast choice of "please don't kill the Eldar" net 20 iconoclast point, like this is EVEN bigger than the choice at the beginning where you save your crew.

I wonder why Owlcat doesn't have you to go the Chaos Gods and tell them "please stop be the baddies dum dum", earn 1 billion Iconoclast points, become the new Super Chaos God of Iconoclast, and everyone is happy forever after.

If it's that easy to convince Caligos, why hasn't anyone even tried it before, even his own crewmen?

Like, he's a RT, his world is being raided by xenos, he's in full right to exterminate them, especially when they admit they want to purge the planet, humanity be damned because one Dark Eldar mad doctor is there.

Yeah, I was completely baffled by Yrliet's actions in that situation.

As an Iconoclast, from Act 1 I was doing everything to try and aid her, never mind that in each situation the RT ended up putting the ship and her crew in danger for the sake of one person onboard. In Act 3 not once did I berate her for what she had done and I stood by her and protected her, not letting her sacrifice body parts to the freak surgeon. Multiple times the narration said how Yrliet looks at the RT with gratitude and respect and she promises loyalty and assistance.

But drop that hint to the aeldari that it was Theodora who was responsible for their craftworld's demise, and she goes, "Welp, bye! I'm going to stand with them."

well, same for heretical though. You just go "lmao lol calligos let's just DROWN THEM IN BLOOD" - +20 points.

meanwhile, i consciously choose to leave entire planet to chaos in act I - and it's just +15 points... Guess creed inflation goes hard by the act IV

That at least makes sense for Heretical because Blood for the Blood God.

But there should be at least more to this writing than "please don't kill Eldarinos pretty please because you look bad" and "OK". It's just terrible writing.

They're not exceptions though, you just haven't gotten to a point where it is worth showing their hand for them. They're never going to be on your side because you aren't them. It's elves being elves.

Hell even the elves involved in reviving girlyman hate him and hate humans in general, they're only doing it because they're a the last hope for ending chaos.

I guess my problem is that it's not the Eldars in this game is terribad, but Yrliet just does ♥♥♥♥ terribly.

She trusts the Dark Eldar because it's her kin.
Which later she tells me to NOT trust the Dark Eldar mad doctor (which I do and somehow prevail).
And then she tells me that a fragile peace between Eldar and humie is possible due to my action.
And then she decides to say ♥♥♥♥ all that, humie bad, I'm killing you, Elantach.

Like you are making the situation worse here, girl, for both me and your people.

She simply pissed on you for ruining that fragile peace?

Because telling Eldar that you're somewhat related to destruction of their sacred Craftworld.... Dunno, it's like bringing a tablet with N-word on left radicals manifestation - 100% suicide move :)
