[h1]Black Battle Map Issue – Stuck in The Upperway (Grim Darkness Mode)[/h1]

Hey everyone,

I'm running into a problem and hoping someone might have a fix.

I picked up Cassia and traveled to Rykad Minoris. I fought through a good chunk of the area and eventually found a side door leading to The Upperway. I entered, the game autosaved, and I ended my session since I had a trip planned.

Later, I loaded the game on my girlfriend’s gaming laptop and found that the battle map was completely black. I assumed it might be a hardware issue from switching to a different system, so I left it alone and waited until I got back home.

Now that I’m back on my usual setup, the issue is still there. Since this is my first playthrough and I'm playing on Grim Darkness Mode, I didn’t realize that the game autosaves when quitting to the main menu. I had always avoided it to prevent losing hours of progress, given how sparse in-game autosaves seem to be. Unfortunately, since I can’t revert to an earlier save, I’m stuck. I've spent a good amount of time searching for answers, submitting a bug report, and trying to verify integrity of game files.

Has anyone experienced this before? Is there any way to fix it, or am I just out of luck?
