The thing is - with reputation decisions and projects in the colonies, you are able to max reputation with everyone pretty much at the start of chapter 4, after you are done with your colony building.
Now, the problem is - if you do not take these decisions and projects, you will have issues. I guess you can still just endlessly jump green routes and wait for item production of grenades/medkits - all factions except the Drusians accept mechanicus items from what I recall. So if you max the Drusians and the Navy, you can grind to max out the rest. Although that would probably be hours of tedious busywork.
What you suggest wouldn't just be "hours of tedious busywork"; it would be one of the stupidest ways a person could waste his time. You'd actually spend less time replaying the game from an early Chapter II save or even from the Prologue up to the start of Chapter 4 when compared to the number of hours you'll spend clicking back and forth on a green Warp route just to try and grind out enough regenerating medikits or grenades from colony projects that provide a recurring supply.
You also have a knack for repeating exactly what I post (like you did in the topic on the Halo Device, when I pointed out that Heinrix and Yrilet will confiscate it if you try putting it on in the field) whilst adding nothing whatsoever of value.
Well, he asked for anything that does not involve toybox. And that is the only way, I thought to add that it would be stupid to do so, but I thought anyone could see this would be so, without that qualifier? And trust me, people that would waste their time in very stupid ways, just to say "I did this the hard way" in the end do exist.
I think you have me mistaken with someone else. I checked that thread and I am not included anywhere.
It should all be rebalanced. In the meantime, yeah, Toybox. Tbh, I wouldn't touch Owlcat games without mods. They are alright, but it becomes readily apparent how crude they are and at fast rate.
