Where to find custom companions lost in Commorragh?

I assume I need to find any missing companions in Commorragh prior to escaping or loose them forever. The only issue Is I found all the named companions I brought with me but I had two custom created companions as well and I assume this is the incomplete locate bodyguards but for the life of me they are not in the chasm map unless there is some other area I do not have access to yet. I just want to know more about this because I am not really keen to go to the arena and potentially not be able to come back resulting in loosing those characters.

I have not reached Act 3 yet, but was wondering the same thing while planning my current run which will be the first to go all the way.

In the past they have shown up after I did some things with Malice but that may have changed in the new patch or patches since I did that.

After you beat the first arena fight, ask Tervantias to bring your mercs back and they'll spawn in.

Malice was by far the toughest fight in the game not because he was particularly strong but mostly because of how badly nerfed I was since no one had any gear matching their build and the 3 characters I got back first were not melee fighters. Pasqal was specced for AOE plasma and has no plasma weapon and no good melee the other two were snipers with very squishy armor and also no melee
