Backup Savegames

So, I'm resetting my computer anew. Do I need to backup my savegames or are they stored in the cloud?

How do I find the savegames in my local drive and back them up?

Save files are stored at Unity PersistentDataPath at

Owlcat Games\Warhammer 40000 Rogue Trader\Saved Games

PersistentDataPath depends on your OS, you can find details at Unity site: https://docs.unity3d.com/ScriptReference/Application-persistentDataPath.html

Save files are stored in cloud depending on your personal Steam settings.

It might be helpful to mention that Steam uses Proton to run this game on Linux, meaning that on Linux it's located in a proton subdirectory with the Windows path instead of the native Linux path.
That should be something like

~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/2186680/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/LocalLow/Owlcat\ Games/Warhammer\ 40000\ Rogue\ Trader/
