playing on grim darkness for first playthrough, got to kiava gamma, let heinrix do his thing until i thought he was going to be corrupted or something, broke the cogitator, ruined his entire questline and i cant reload.

It can be frustrating man. I would say finish the playthrough and use it to explore choices you wouldn't normally make then on your next run work toward your perfect ending

I respect your decision and I understand the frustration, but what you're describing is precisly the point of Grim Dark. It's not just ``if you die, you die". Read the description of the game mod -- it's precisly meant to pose a challenge to the player where every single decision you make matters. Whether that decision is where to position your sniper in battle so that they don't get killed and your entire playthrough goes to the trash, or whether that's if you say something to a companion which crashes their quest or even makes them leave you. If you're not into that then Grim Dark was probably not right for your playstyle from the get go.

Nobody cares if you save scum. I do it too and it never took away from my enjoyment. I also cheat so I have an OP main character.

You do you.

This. If you are sensitive to missing out on content because of RNG, on your first play through no less, why in the world would you go ironman mode.
