void shadow released: is it better to start the game anew?
Hi there folks :)
the title says it all. I played the first 4 chapters, and I am well along in the 5th. I could not complete the 5th chapter because for a few months I did not have access to my computer (long story short: renovation of the house...)
now void shadow has been released and I do not know if I should start a new campaign or continue this one (and start a new campaign after that ;) )
any help / comment?

The main DLC cultist mission can be started after the 1st/2nd main Mission done in Act 1. The new Bridge Officer events, areas and errands are integrated into the game itself naturally from game start. Just make sure you actually activate the DLC during character creation before difficulty settings. You still see some of them even in the tutorial Prologue replacing otherwise nameless NPCs from pre DLC. Starting this way is a lot more fluid and natural.

- The DLC is also integrated once you activate it at anytime after that until right before the Point Of No Return to Act 5 (as you know). You will get an event on warp jump where you meet all the new Officers (although that may not happen if you talk to them on the bridge before jumping). Then after another jump, you can start the cult companion cinematic and cultist quest start will occur just like it does for Act 1 post first or second Act 1 mission.

- The only content you will miss from Act 1 really, is the unique integration of new bridge officers early rather than a slapped together late introduction. Also there's a new point of interest in the Rycadi System being an Astropath station, which has a small dialogue events that leads to a reward (an amulet that makes you immune to Horrors of the Warp, that annoying debuff Daemons will use). There may be a new vendor item here or there too in Act 1 but i'm not certain. They may not be available for Act 2 onwards, due to those two vendors being separate from the rest of the game vendors post Act 1.

- The DLC with a new game allows you to reach level 16 by around 1000 experience to spare as you enter the Starport for the last time. Then if you still haven't reached level 16 you should be the end of the last Act 1 encounter with traps. Doing the Cultist Mission in Act 1 has no impact on "time progressing" in Act 1 for the default Missions.

A bit more information than you were asking for but should cover it. The core content is the same regardless no matter when you start. :)
