Lex Imperialis Dogmatic?
Just curious if there is any info on whether Lex will be dogmatic, since he is part of the Adeptus Arbites.

Most likely. Almost everyone aboard an imperial ship will be dogmatic.

My thoughts as well... Guess I will save my dogmatic playthrough for December...

Too many dogmatic companions as-is. We require a bone or two for heretical and iconoclast.

We also need Kibellah's system expanded, with the ability to see our interactions with the other companions reflected in their morality tracks.

It doesn't help that some of heretical companions are high school drama club level cringe. They are so close to saying, "no cap".

Instead of adding more they should just flesh out Uralon, The prophet of cringe and make him available earlier.

Problem with those is taht iconoclastic people REALLY do not work for the setting, and heretics tend to be mind-broken nihilists and revellers, with self-destructive tendencies, and that makes both extremely hard to convincingly write in this setting, as companions for a Rogue Trader.

And that is a problem... how?

Chaos corruption tends to do that (to varying degrees).

Your mind goes all drama queen since the chaos gods feed on emotions, the stronger the emotions the better as far as they are concerned.

They twist your mind more and more to make you more emotional and less stable, eventually you reach a state that can be most easily summarized as "crazy".

But some the heretical companions are much closer to marvel level quips than Fulgrim listening to Opera. A lot of recent CRPGs have these characters lately. It doesn't fit, like cussing in Star Trek.

How are you going to write these characters, and not have them be one note party members with no actual character quests?

Implementing character quests for heretics ain't a issue, Not even for one note characters. Simple as. Not every character needs to have complex personality, or elaborated character growth arcs for that matter. Sometimes having a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insane companion is preferable.

Good that the people on my Imperial ship are Imperial:P

I prefer the look of the iconoclast bridge thou:P

NokNok? Is that you?

Also, there's absolutely some wiggle room for heretical characters still sane enough to interact with, especially if they're just at the first or second level.

A wannabe Sorcerer who just found their first book of eldritch lore and is absolutely sure they can control it (Push them either direction, or just BLAMM them).
An Acolyte of Abraxas - an Explorator integrating Xenotech in their implants for psy-like powers (Ch3 spoiler: Chapter 3 would be perfect for a Heretical push to Pasqal if he keeps the implants instead of a boring, generic debuff).
A Reaver pirate, this close to just screaming "Skulls for the Skull Throne" but oh-so-effective on boarding actions

It's not impossible.
Doesn't mean it's smart to keep them around for a wise captain, but it's not impossible - and if you're going to the hilt into Hereticus, you're not gonna be a wise captain anyway.
