Example:
I would normally go to get Cassia first but in my current game I went to Rykad Minoris first. I noticed on Rykad that several of the fight encounters were different, and that there basically were more "friendlies" alive.
While ater on the station (Eurac V); the whole place was more "warped", many of the guards were dead and subsequently revived as Zombies for some of the fights, and when you leave with Cassia she doesn't have any of her servants to help with the ritual.
As for the order you did the missions in OP, that's the most optimal.
Eurac V --> Prison Planet --> Rycad Minoris. for the most PF, rewards, XP and people alive by the end of Act 1 such as it is.
Eurac V - It has the only NPC you can save that will actually show up in Act 2 and for the rest of the game. All the others don't make an appearance. He can only be saved if you go to Eurac V first, and it's only possible to get the extra 2 PF from looting everything here by doing it first as well.
Prison Planet - You can do this second and miss out on nothing here. You will still save the VIP here that unlocks a possible etude fora n alternative good ending for a certain region of space, if you keep him as a guest on your ship (make sure you do that). The Pilot here will survive too for extra Act 1 content. But it has to be done 1st or 2nd in order for these to be true (Actually it may be 1st, 2nd or 3rd, as in, before going to Tech Priest Monastery).
Rycad Minoris - It becomes more hellish and a friendly NPC that you would meet if you went earlier is "replaced." Although he doesn't matter for anything. Another NPC in relation to the Pilot on Prison Planet is still alive and well going here last. Other NPCs and peoples are in pretty bad shape compared to going here first/second, but it really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things or etudes.
I have always felt the Act was designed around this order of doing things, with even the initial briefing giving you clues:
- When you arrive in the Rycadi System, the events on Rycad Minoris are reported as hardly of any concern based off reports coming from the Planet/Governor if i remember correctly. No rush. Why would you? It's a well founded planet of Billions of people and a massive garrison.
- Prison Planet gave out a distress call, which suggests something is obviously wrong, but no real evidence of anything immediate.
- On the other hand, Eurac V in a HIGHLY suspicious way, isn't returning any hails and the Station appears damaged. This suggests that the Station is in the most trouble and should be visited first. It also has the most important thing you need for leaving the system - a Navigator.
