Soft Lock on Inverted Card mission, help!

I am investigating the plasma chamber as Kibellah after having completed the twinning ritual and disguising the officers. I kill Whip, I inform Stain, but then I have no options to do anything. From what I read online, I am then supposed to meet "Furnace" but this never happens and I can do nothing to progress. I even tried downloading Toybox in the hope that marking the quest complete could help me get out of it, but no avail.

What can I do?!

I had a similar problem, tried a few things but in the end the thing that worked was restarting the quest and deciding to go without disguises.
At the time I actually blamed my own fiddling with toybox.

unfortunately I have tried going without disguises to the same result. Granted, this has been only once and with Toybox still present

Turn off the toy box, restart the game, start with the last auto-save in the sanctuary

What you're missing is clicking on an interactible button more or less in the middle of the room (relatively close to Stain), titled something along the lines of ``listen to conversations". What you're saying is that you don't have that button? Have you tried walking around the map with TAB held, making sure the button doesn't appear?

it appears there was a dialog that was supposed to trigger with Jocasta and Einrich after their introduction that did not trigger on any previous attempt. After this dialog triggered the rest of the mission appears to be going the way it's supposed to, already different than how it was. To answer elbentzo, that interactable would not change after completing the prerequisites; ie the conversation options would be the same after both the first and second NPC interactions, creating the soft lock. This first dialog option appearing seems to have enabled that interactable to which you're referring, and now it triggers a hybrid cutscene style dialog.

I would attribute the fix to removing Toybox, however it's weird that I downloaded it just to solve this problem. End of the day I'm just grateful it's fixed, I won't look a gift horse in the mouth.

There are two be like shadows near the named NPC on the map. Click the one father away of the exit.

Its a game bug. nothing related to ToyBox. I have the same issue this time. Cant fix it even with reloading
