I managed to do it, but it was a farce, it was just by chance he kept missing, so complete luck.
Bringing Idira should made it a none ambush, or change the genstealer to a regular one. Something like that would help:)
None of the Act 4 DLC Fights were that bad, harder then base game sure, but very much doable. Giant Genestealer got 1 shot by my Kilebella, and the end Boss just sat around and got nuked by Idria (built Pyro).
That said, my front line is max dodge/parry, Idria is made to make herself, and my backline max Dodge, so my team is super tanky, and if anything somehow does hit them, main tank has like 20 Deflection and rest of team is around 10-15 Deflection, so most attacks don't do a ton, I'm more prone to killing my guys then the enemy is.
for me Act 4 fights only feel harder because everything has 4-5x more health then base game content in Act 4, so takes a few turns to finish, as opposed to base game being done in a round.
Carnival is a dumb ability as well, full screen clear the majority of the time.
Not really sure what to do. Going to try to not warp towards Footfall and see if that helps
The genestealer knocks down 2-4 of my party members and the entire party just takes massive damage from everything like it's several levels higher than me
Edit: Trying to go a different direction did not help. Shelving this game until it gets changed.
I changed out all the casters and operatives for as many combat people as possible, at least with parry and dodge they might survive.
That genesteler is ridiculous, esp considering its an ambush and its starts in the middle of your party.
It took me four times and even then it was mainly luck of parry and doge saves being passed rather than anything else, its the only fight I disliked.
If you choose certain dialogue options, where the death cultist shoot the guy, and you can clearly see hes a hybrid, it shouldn't be an ambush:P
Even that guys plan was foiled, he wasn't expecting the fight, he was expecting you to get on the train:/
