Didn't test it with an MC telepath, but I know you can put forward yourself as a suggestion if you are a psyker, he scoffs at the idea for a non-telepath but it might work if you got it unlocked for your MC.
If you try to do it yourself the astropath calls you a noob and laughs in your face, pretty much.
My MC is a sanctioned psyker, and it went swimmingly! Started Sanctic. Picked up Telepathy along the way, but I honestly do not remember if that was before or after this particular mission.
But the MC can absolutely be the extra psyker needed.
Oh that's odd. I read somewhere else the astropath merely treats you like an idiot if you try. Maybe it depends on having a specific level of psychic ability? Or the person claiming that wasn't using a telepath.
Yeah, she explodes a little bit, but she gets better after the fight.
he does if you are not a telepath. Tells you you are not powerful enough / trained enough to immerse yourself as deeply as astropaths do and points out that he needs a telepath.
Also, she doesn't die in the sense of being removed from the roster, she just gets knocked out at the beginning of the fight that ensues the ritual.
But has anyone tried getting a merc psycher to do the job?
