Well it depends. Did it specifically mention a Koronus expanse Rogue Trader doing certain things our Rogue Trader did in game? :p

I don't mean the Rogue Trader him/herself, I mean one of the main side characters/companions ;)

Ah so you mean like the High Inquisitor or some other NPC or companion that's been known to warp jump a bit got it. It would be interesting if it mentioned any in game RT lore or events, that would suggest that RT the game is semi canon possibly in GW's eyes if there's cross lore/events in between various 40K games.

It's Ulfar, he's in the same Deathwatch squad as Titus at the beginning of the game, doing penance for something. He's even voiced by the same VA and shouts his (and space wolves in general) famous "Fenris hjolda".

Well that's cool and encouraging. :)

So that means Space Marine 2 is a Prequel to Rogue Trader?

Sequel.
Ulfar gets killed in the tutorial/first mission of Space Marine 2. He is part of the Deathwatch and fights alongside Titus against the Tyranids.

I was thinking about that but I think it's now just a loose "non-canon" cameo.

I think that Space Marine 2 devs just loved the character. I say that because *big RT late game and Ulfar ending spoilers* Ulfar's RT endings don't really fit going back to the Imperium proper (Assuming SM2 isn't in the Koronus lol). Really only the Loner path could see him return somehow to the Imperium and it's now near impossible to get to.

In all other endings he ends up going into the Heathen Stars (Halo Stars) one way or another. If he goes Chapter route he leads the entire Stormbiters pack into the Halo Stars on some sort of divine mission or some such set by the Emperor, and he's a Dreadnought by that point not a normal SM.

Unlike the other endings, where the Stormbiters try to return to the Imperium without him under Halbrandt's leadership via the Maw (and no one knows if they make it or not, and this occurs decades later if not more so the Eye of Terror/Great Rift's effects in the region haven't easily subsided if at all).

TBH I highly doubt most, if anything, from Rogue Trader would be considered "canon" towards other games at the moment, besides the actual characters themselves and a part of their stories. Given that they canonized Titus, I'd assume that Space Marine 1&2 are the more canon regarded material. So in that case Ulfar dying would be considered canon to the general lore, hence rendering a large part of his Rogue Trader storyline/s now irrelevant and/or non-existant

did they get his geneseed?

SM@ is out now i take it?

The name Ulfar loosely translates to wolf. It is a 'john smith' kinda name - common. Having the same name =/+ same person. Now having the same V/A, thats stronger, but, ultimately I do not think this a canon connection - Space Marines all sound the same in those helmets.

You act like GW doesn't play fast and loose with their lore rather than the devs that sit there a meticulously place every piece together like a jigsaw puzzle.
Also since I never got him out on my original run of rogue trader I never finished since I don't have a gigantic hard on for those characters in the universe and wanted to make other choices while there so he didn't join my team I don't honestly care and didn't notice anything referencing him in that opening tutorial.
Hell it could have just been another character from his group similar to him since the helmets never come off.
