Archeotech Mechanism Fragments

i'm in late chapter 2 i believe - and i've found 4 "Archeotech Mechanism Fragments" - dont seem to do anything.. so i searched and seems they are tied to a rumor "Showing the Way"...

i looked it over - and i have all 4.. but dont have the rumor? quest?

did i miss talking to someone? or did i mess up and find them to early? i explored a lot.. taking dangerous routes to try and farm xp/items. so I believe i got all for before doing Dargonus and vheabos

If you have the 4 fragments, they will form into a compass. I think it says on the compass where to go? But I will say it - Mu Rho 79. Check a planet there to complete the rumor and get a Hadd Pattern Data-Loom.

they dont form up for me..

mine didnt assemle either when i grabbed the ones i had in my vault so i went back to a save before i picked up the last one... you gotta have the other 3 in your inventory when you pick up the last one, then they assemble fine

Did you put any of them in your vault? Don't do that. It causes the rumour to bug out and not complete properly. In fact, there's no reason to move quest items out of your inventory into the vault--they're in their own separate tab; your inventory has unlimited space, and you don't need to use them manually or equip them, so there's no harm to running around with 100 different papers and quest objects, heh.
