Need help - At home among the poor (achievement)

Hey there fellow rogue traders, how did you all got the achivement? been trying to intereact with everyone i can in the frieght line but the achievement doesn't pop up. Thanks for any tip you can give me

I believe you give rations to the beggars, play the game with the flute man, and then drink the soup with the foreman. This is coupled with the forced interactions as well, such as the one with 12, just be nice to your people and it should pop when you drink the vat soup.

I have no idea if you have to do the other interactions but the drinking of the soup is the most vital.

I've grown beyond mad with this achievement. Literally did the entire zone over 6 times at this point. Clicked everything, talked with everyone. Been a douche/nice guy. Succeeded and failed soup drinking check. Still nothing. Going insane.

I think you need to give ration cards (found in some spots around the place) to the one guy so he can hand them out to the others, too.
I explored the place thoroughly when I got there for the first time and cannot even remember what I found and did everywhere, except I tried to be nice to the lower deckers all the time.

Since the lute player is a Nemesite I believe he plays no role for the achievement.

Here's what worked for me
-stop guards burning the habs and save the burnt man
-give some food cards to a beggar
-did the train thing
-talked to flute player and click all his interactions
-Fired the violent guard
-did the crane puzzle
-give the gang weapons
-killed the outcasts and clicked on all the sick people
than i talked to the foreman and give him ration cards and drink the soup
no sure if all these are necessary But i know talking to the dead man and the blind man defiantly is not.

-I think it also does matter if you pillage the lootable stuff. I finally got this one after basically ignoring every single spot, except the one where they keep burning the shacks, where you get the 15x ration cards.
-Also did not drop the cargo onto the enforcer with the crane puzzle.
I did not kill the guy at the edge (picked option where I did not judge him), so he comited suicide.
-When talcking to flute player about the story, you have some dialog choices (one with coercion, one with perrsuation and one regular). I picked 1st one "may good times come for you one day,...").
-Where the goo pit is there is shack of some beggar. When you go through it, hes gonna be mad that you go through his house and text block will appear. Also avoided that. Perhaps it also matters.

I read in a Reddit post that a RT’s specific origin (e.g., like the pre-generated Soldier/Astra Militarum Commander background)—if it presents a default dialogue check that bypasses the soup-drinking “carouse” skill check—could impact the achievement. Making sure the PC’s background does allow the skill check seemed to help some people, but unfortunately not me 😐 Because I knew my next planned Dogmatic playthrough would probably preclude making the desired dialogue choices and I had no Chapter 1 Freight Line saves in my other playthroughs left, I literally started a new (non- Astra Militarum) character yesterday just to get back to the correct point. Helped the burnt man, stopped the burning enforcers, gave the beggar ration cards, engaged the nemesite flutist, dismissed the abusive guard, gave the gang guys weapons, killed the outcasts (and alternatively gave the outcast leader charity in another attempt), clicked the lepers, didn’t judge the dead man, clicked every single lower decker/laborer I could find, gave the blind man rations, gave the foreman ration cards to distribute, passed the carouse skill check and successfully drank the gross soup, and…nothing! I replayed it like 12 times, with minor variations, even trying astobat’s advice to leave all the lootable stuff alone (except rations cards) and no luck. Even reloaded saved games multiple times. This achievement continues to elude me ☹
