Unable to link twitch with steam

Does anyone know how to link the game's Twitch account to my Steam account without being redirected to the official drop website over and over again to no avail? Thank You.

Afaik for the drops you need to link Twitch and your account on https://roguetrader.owlcat.games/, then link that and Steam.

I'm trying to do that, but it doesn't give me any option to link Twitch to the official Warhammer 40K website and the official website to Steam.

¿I have to go into the game menu and look for said chest or start a game and go look for the chest with a monitor in Lord Captain's Quarters?

(I haven't started any game, I just got there by installing it and entering the menu. I don't know what you mean by "The chest with a monitor in Lord Captain's Quarters.")

It's right next to your safe and the console with the special edition backer names. After the prologue, obviously. You can use TAB to highlight interacteable points.

This is the worst system I've ever seen. Having to go through the prologue to be able to link a Twitch-Steam account is ridiculous.

Clicking the chest in my quarters only displays the message "Objects Discovered: No Rewards Available," no option for linking accounts.

Ok, I've managed to link the account. It's absurd that you have to write the prologue in order to link an account. The useless guy who came up with the idea should be fired.

Open all the chests and collect all the items you find in the Lord Captain's chamber. The option to link account will appear.

The Lord Captain's chamber is the second time you visit it once you have defeated the ship's boss (the warp).

Does anybody have the exact URL for the bind? I can't even get in game due to the stupid configuration file bug caused by Owlcat disabling the Steam Workshop and I would rather not deal with FOMO caused by something that's not my fault.

EDIT: I figured it out. The proper link for linking your account is https://roguetrader.owlcat.games/drops/link/steam_<SteamID64>

You need to replace <SteamID64> with your public Steam account ID. You can easily find your ID at the top of https://store.steampowered.com/account/ as a long numeric string. Otherwise there are a number of ways to identify anybody's SteamID. For example, if I hadn't set a custom URL to my account, you could find mine in my profile link: https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198028055986 - 76561198028055986 is my ID.

FINAL EDIT: Wanted to use this to make a statement. This is the single worst possible way this linking could have been handled. By using a cleartext editable link, this has been opened to trolling. If I hadn't posted here, someone else would have. And then, someone would realize if you wanted to ruin someone's day all it takes is creating a throwaway twitch account, injecting someone else's SteamID and BAM! Now someone can't link their account because it's already linked to another account.

This should have been handled with a secure Steam login and OpenID share, which would have also cut out the whole "need to interact with the chest that wasn't there before and half of everybody fails to notice", browser link incompatibilities, and popup blocker interactions (in a test case with a friend who has the game and can get in, his adblocker was treating the call from the game as a popup and blocking it). It's also general Steam policy to only perform actions like this through Steamworks API.

Owlcat, if you ever do this again (and I hope you don't), use Steam login and OpenID instead.

The only other thing in the Lord Captain's chamber that could contain anything is the vault, which is empty. I have collected / clicked on EVERYTHING else. My save file is in Chapter 2.

It gave me confirmation and my Twitch account has progress in the Drops & Rewards page now. I will try to confirm if I can collect the reward in-game in a bit.

Update: It works, got the items in my game.
