My computer stats are:
Windows 11
12th Gen Itel Core i9-12900ks, 3,4ghz,
32gb RAM
Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 Ti
And plenty of space on the harddrive.
I have capped the fps at 60, and lowered much of the graphics to medium, but it have done very little or nothing.
Can anyone tell where I find the crash log?
The Event Viewer is the primary tool for checking crash logs in Windows. It provides an organized way to browse and filter system events. To check the crash logs in a Windows 10 or Windows 11 system:
Open the Event Viewer by pressing Win + R, entering eventvwr in the Run command prompt, and pressing Enter.
In the left-hand pane, expand Windows Logs and select System. The Actions Menu will display a list of events.
Click the Filter Current Log button in the Actions Menu. In the Filter window, check the boxes for Critical and Error. Click OK to apply the filter. The list will now show only events related to crashes and critical errors.
Look for crash-related event IDs, such as 1001 (BugCheck) or 41 (Kernel-Power), which indicate system crashes or unexpected shutdowns. Click any entry to view detailed information, including the time of the crash, error codes, and the source.

People with 13 Gen and 14 Gen Intel CPU's in the upper CPU products have also at times seemed to have issues but then like magic they go away (or at least I have not seen the poster report that doing one thing fixed the issue)
Also are you using Mods or have you used mods? You need to update them if they are out of date and if you used the steam workshop to install the mods there is a process to get ride of them. (Search the forums as someone has posted a detailed description on what to do)
But that does not mean that something else is not causing the problem.
So check event viewer.
Also be sure the rest of your programs and apps are up to date , especially EA, Battlenet, Riot Games. As for some reason people have had issues playing other games if that have not been logged into and updated for a time.
Be sure your browser is up to date, even the ones you do not use.
Launch the Steam App first then go into library and launch the game. For some strange reason this seems to work at times.
Another person had an issue with the screen blinking and that was related to a mouse issue and the game engine. They were getting unreal errors as well as some strange resource errors.
Good Luck
I have no mods or anything. Just running the game in vanilla mode.
3) Mouse cursor is lagging every few seconds, strange clicking sounds from headphones or on records from the microphone.
It's an old Unity engine bug with some peripherals, that persists through all our games.
Can be fixed by searching and deleting the file called Rewired_DirectInput.dll from the game directory.
The file is found in game dir/wh40krt_data/plugins/x86_64
This manifests itself in many ways, with me it was random freezing with the game were sometimes I thought it was about to crash. Along with error logs.
Will try it! Thanks!
Hi I've been having this issue where the game is crashing my whole pc despite power draw and temps being fine. Did deleting this file solve your issue?
If the game is crashing your PC, I would look at MS Event Viewer and MS Device Manager for errors and relay them to OC or see if it is another faulting program.
The unity bug and the file listed has helped some people but having had issues with Razer Synapse new download today crashing also check your peripheral software to see if it is an problem.
In general I would also:
1) Be sure OS, Browsers, Drivers, BIOS and game apps (ie Battlenet, EA, etc) are up to date.
2) In the past people have had issues with FireFox and the old Steam Workshop Mods.
3) Turn off Steam Cloud Saves and Shadow recording.
4) Verify game files.
Note: I run a 3070TI and have noticed some unusual things since the NVIDIA Driver update the other day for 5070 cards, which I hope are temporary.
Good Luck
No, none of the things worked, but the patch that arrived a bit after solved my problems.
