Power Armor or Heavy Armor

So I'm at the point in the game where I can get power armor for my group (chapter 4) and I'm currently equipped with heavy armor on my tanky characters. My mc is a Forge World character so took the feat that gives +1 MP +1 Deflection and cannot be knocked prone while in Heavy Armor.

Now... I'm to understand Power Armor isn't treated like Heavy Armor and this feat is now completely useless. So my character cannot be knocked down in Heavy Armor, but can be knocked down in the "superior in every" way Power Armor. Is this correct? Seems like a bug.

Also, what are your thoughts on Power Armor vs Heavy Armor?

My character while wearing heavy armor with that perk was still knocked down. So i am not sure if it works either way.

If I remember right the only power armor worth a damn is for argenta regardless.

I just picked up the Power Armor for my MC and it's a lot better than any other Heavy Armor. Better dodge stats, Better deflection, Better armor. Better allround. With the correct feats I now have like over 60 deflection vs single target attacks in the first round of combat. Not even counting the +psy rating deflection I also run. Pretty much invulnerable at this point.

Haven't checked it out in game, but lore wise that would make no sense.

Since a space marines size isn't just a matter of their power armor but their genetic enhancements as well. Power armor made for space marines are specifically made for them, they wouldn't be able to use power armor made for normal humans. Likewise i doubt a normal human would be able to use space marine power armor.

At least as a generalization.

You don't look as big. You look like your normal size. Power Armor comes in different sizes. For Space Marines it's bigger.

Ulfer's equipment (power armor, helm, boots, bolter) are Astartes equipment. Other party members cannot use it. It's too big for them.

I can confirm the feat Steel of the Forge also works with Power Armor. So this feat that applies to Heavy Armor works. This means Power Armor is seen as Heavy Armor in terms of other applications.

It's weird though that I recently found a Heavy Armor that's actually better than my Power Armor. [War World Origin] Tempestus Elite Carapace has insane defensive stats.

You may have noticed that neither Sisters nor Inquisitors are not as big as Ulfar, despite wearing power armor.
Spaces aren't big because of the armor, they are big because they are BIG. Astartes equipment is made specifically for them, and is unusable by normal people. This includes bolters BTW, SM bolters are bigger than the ones SoB use.
