Can anyone explain how cargo works?
Seriously. I worried so see a percentage filled for an item, then still was able to get more. I took a look later on at the cargo menu and now saw three "Jewelries", two at 100% and one at 16%.

Like... how many of these can I have? Can I only sell those at 100%, effectively just making them shop items with a progression bar or I can sell them at less for less reputation?

you can have multiple sets of 100% cargo. They can only be traded in at 100%, though you can go into your cargo inventory and change back any gear you originally turned into cargo. As well as turn a fair amount of items be they gear, lore info or stuff that goes in your various inventory tabs. Just right click an item and see if it can be turned into cargo.

I never found a limit to how much cargo i could have tbh. I think i traded in 12k worth of rep in cargo in 1 go at the most.

Imo it's a rather confusing rep system in that it asks you if you are sure you want to buy an item, when there is no currency used in buying said item.
There's no limit on the number of crates you can have of any particular kind of cargo, nor is there a limit on the number of cargo crates in general that you can have.

You don't so much sell crates as trade them for reputation, but in some ways there isn't much difference. You can only trade full crates (100%).

Just be aware that the game currently does not make a distinction between a "full" crate (100%) or an "overfull" crate (more than 100% in one crate). It shows 100% in either case, and will allow you to trade them, but you don't get more rep if your crate has more than 100% of what you need in it.

Also, the game makes no effort to avoid overfilling crates. When you send something to cargo, the game just stuffs it into the next crate. So, for example, if you have a crate that is 99% full and the next thing of that type that you send to cargo is a 75% item, you now have a crate that shows 100% but really has 174% in it, and if you don't happen to notice that before you trade the crate away then that extra value is lost. That's an extreme example, but the more likely 1-to-20-percent wastes happen more commonly and will add up over the course of a game.

So you have to decide whether you want to spend time on the tedious task of manually resorting your crates before you trade them, to get the most value from them possible, or save time but lose reputation by letting some of the potential value of the loot that you find go to waste.

If you right-click on an item one of the faction representatives is offering you (and you qualify for it) then you will just take it without any questions.

lucky you then, about 1/4 of the items I buy ask me if i am sure I want to get it when i buy it. It's rather annoying and completely pointless.

Would only make sense if it's a bug leftover from a previous currency system that got removed for the release. Sadly I never got an answer from the devs or early testers if the currency system was different to what we have now.
