Chorda's build is a facepalm

So i was like lets put the gal in the group to see if she has any dialogs with calazar, and i go through her skills since she will be fighting the last boss.. and they are horrendus.

She has all the area attack buffs but for some reason that eludes me they put all her points in balistic skill when she is supposed to use weapons that always hit like flamers and plasma -.-. instead of intelligence and agility to increase the damage and reduce dodge chance...

Then they dumped the rest of her points on willpower -.- which she needs for NOTHING.... (its like they are saying i don't know what to do with all those points so i ll just dump them somewhere)

further more they did not even pick dmolition expert for her to make sure she is extra useless. and gave her tenderize which is somehthing you pick when you want to use with bolters and machine guns that do multiple attacks....-.-

i suppose the rest of the group can carry her but she sucks. I guess if she survives a few rounds she can deal some damage because she will stack tactician stacks.. But ... that build is .... damn if new players were supposed to look at thaose builds and get ideas... they are s...

I agree she is underwhelming, but that is more of a function of firearm damage outside of burst fire or operative/assassin snipers being underwhelming. Area attacks just don't keep up, even with all the potential talents. However, her build does make some sense.

Ballistic skill is still used for area ranged attacks, so she needs it to not have the damage reduced. Willpower is primarily for her ministorum priest talents, particularly flensing faith which significantly increases her fire/melta/melee damage vs demons and psykers (half as much vs xenos).

You don't need high Int for AoE Soldier, and you can still take Demolition Expert for Chorda.
Tenderize needs AoE primer (which is Chorda's specialty), works only for next attack and depends on BS bonus. So Tenderize will work with Master Tactician abilities, including Orchestrated Storm, but not with burst attacks (this was fixed a while ago).

Due to Shield of Faith Willpower gives her a bonus to Resolve, which is quite useful for a Master Tactician in order to get Tactical Advantage stacks. Chorda's unique ability, Cleanse, also scales off of Willpower. Also, as Hogarth said, Flensing Faith.

is that the talent u r refering to? i defo did not think about it. well u have 5 1st tier talents to pick i gues as an exalted so u can pick it up.
at least they did pick the use the ordonance more than once ability so you can pick the ability to make ordonance hit 2ice..
i defo missed those things oh they also gave her 2 boosts on demolition so you can cap her demolitio... of course if all those willpower points were to agi will be so much better.... but hey what i know.
I guess if you are building something spending 35 levels to willpower in a 1/battle ability that will give you 14 whole points of momentum/200 (which is as much momentum you will get by pressing end turn as a tacticain) makes sense if you are building the character. So I am convinced. it also gives 7 damage to demons... they even spend a talent for that -.-so hey in story mode she might kill something with it. oh wait no demons in the necron planet but if you try hard enough you might get a random encounter. In fact it should be an achievemnt. have chorda kill a demon with a prayer. probably 1% of the players will manage to do it.
