Forgefiend Pet
Hello! SO I got the Forgefiend as a pet in the act 2 heretical play through and read that it is somehow usable when you get the random attacks/ incursion when warp travelling. Its been stated he will fight the battle for you somehow so you dont waste time with endless battles below deck??
How do I make this pet forgefiend fight for me/with me in the fights? Is there a button im missing somewhere? Thanks!

It's basically an auto-resolve that lets you skip the fight when the random boarding action happens. When you're notified, you should get a dialogue option that's essentially "sicc 'em, boy", and the fight will be skipped outright.

Ya weird I never get that dialogue option. Think game got bugged. Got the doggo and had everyone complaining about him "on the bridge" but no option to have em attack..damn

When an encounter happens you have the option to go yourself, send enforcers, or send your forge fiend. It doesn't work for every encounter that happens, only some. You can also use it for Nomos later on.

from what i can tell from other posts about how the warp danger system works it seems like you first have to get thru a pool of events that dont give you the option to send anyone else to deal with it. i guess those are really supposed to happen early on when you arent really expected to have anything else to deal with them anyway. if you played the entire early game pretty safe and didnt do much dangerous warp travel before getting the demon doggo im guessing you need to just do all the "introductory" warp stuff first before he becomes an option. i just tried this, just flying the same mortally dangerous warp route over and over and the first like 5 times i did not get any choice except to go there myself to fight but after that, i now get the choice to either send my crew (needs resources) to pray to make the warp go away (dont remember what that needed) or to send in the deamon engine to clean up or to go in and fight myself. apart from no exp, there seems to be no drawback (except maybe morally) to sticking the 20 ton metal hound on whatever chaos corrupted wretches annoy you this time.
