Loot mechanics

When leaving an area and having missed a body to loot, dialogue pops up with the items to distribute.
So, do I acutally have to go looting, uhm, self fabricated bodies, or only take care of the chests, perception finds etc.?

always loot as u go, sometimes it dosent colect every lootable body for me.

I would still loot as you go. That lets you sort as you go, so you don't have a huge list of crap at the end to pick through for unique items. Plus unique items you find can be immediately equipped instead of waiting til the end of an area.

Thank you guys for the advice - will loot as I go then and right, there's quest items on bodies as well as immediate useful equip

Loot everything, everywhere.
There is no weight mechanics, and you can trade them at vendors for faction favour. There is really no penalty to not just looting absolutely everything, and there is quite a bit to gain in it.
