Is this game really complete?
For those that have played it a bit now, would you consider this game complete? I felt that when it first launched it was missing some animations for example that killed the immersion a bit. Is it still a very much work in progress akin to an Early Access but not officially Early Access still? Cheers

Owlcat will continue to work on it. The only reason that Kingmaker is not getting more love is that the corp that owns it cut Owlcat out.
Wrath and Rogue Trader will keep them busy. They have 2 DLC planned so far for RT so I am sure more QoL and other things will be fixed

No, it needed at least another 6 months of development and polish. I still have teaposing servitors on my ship after several large patches, invisible weapons in combat and a multitude of other minor bugs along with several major bugs still.

Good to know.So I wait a few months
Yeah an it get worse an worse the farther in you go.. I was doing Pasquels quest.. There is a fight, with the Lens Machines.. clearly you kill them, an Ultralight.. Nightlight.. whatever his name is... stops spawning.. I killed them.. They respawned.. I killed them again.. An he kept respawning.. At one point I had like 10-15 ' images ' of him in the battle to fight.. I had to finally just quit an reload.. hoping it would sort itself out.. an luckly it did.. Post chapter 1-2 (the ones we PAID to test for them) the bugs just get wilder.. an wilder =)

I think what we actually wanna know is if the enormous patch from a few days ago fixed the broken quests in Act 4 and 5? Has anyone played Act 4 since then? Did you need run into many broken quests, or have to use Toybox to fix much?

I want to get into this game myself, but I'm wondering how much will I ''miss out'' if I don't have DLC's, Anybody has idea if the DLC's will have heavy impact of main story?

Buggy=/=incomplete. The two last acts are rather short but I wouldn't say the game's incomplete.

You're not missing out on anything cause the DLC aren't here yet. You can just replay the game with a different build/alignment later. Plenty of those to go around.

As for their impact - we don't really know. Both DLCs are supposed to be part of the main campaign but I don't expect more than new party members, some new locations and companion quests.

Extremely rushed, like the fact that they're adding stuff, haven't reached the end, spoiled myself abit, feels no where near as satisfying as WoTR.

Want a proper conclusion to an epic adventure? Its WoTR secret ending, not htis

So I'm assuming, waiting is the best solution? Until they fix/add everything and just play full package?

Yep. Wait till December, at least.

Idk what to tell you, I bought at launch, got to chapter 5, game breaking black screen bug. Saved and reloaded, no solution was available - abandonedcthe whole playthrough.

Played 2nd playthrough 2 weeks later, got to act 3 mid, major companion quests not triggering (esp Yrilet).

These 2 experiences left me very wary with this game.

To be fair I bought kingmaker and WoTR quite some time (at least 6 months) after release, and these were quite decent for me.

Without getting too much into spoilers, I guess rushed or incomplete because it feels like cut content in act 4, putting bugs aside, if you explore alot in act 2 (which you can), act 4 feels very empty. Woulda been nice to gate some epic stuff during act 4.

The ship class availability, idk if its by choice or cut content, but I played both battlefleet gothics, so limiting me to a frigate is an extremely sore point.

Never got to play the ending though, but until at least whats in there is fixed, I wouldnt want a 3rd bricked playthrough,

Also bear in mind Owlcat patches tend to break alot of stuff as well. (Hope its not) but it is what it is

What's your favorite type of pierogi?
And yeah I will wait. Maybe even grab it once it's on sale with everything.

Ruskie of course.

Just to add to what the other dude said. I did 3 playthroughs of RT (one immediately after launch) and never encountered any gamebreaking bugs, just some minor ones. Dunno why it's so different for other people, could be mods, not sure. But I do agree acts 4 and 5 are too short.

Still, despite all that, the game's excellent - greatly surpassed my expectations. Definitely worth the 30$ purchase.
